Ethiopia
Where everything begins and nothing feels ordinary. Ethiopia is the land of origins - in history, culture, and taste.
This is where humankind first stood, where kingdoms rose from stone, and where coffee still simmers over open flames. In Lalibela, churches are carved deep into the earth. In Addis Ababa, tradition and modern life run side by side. And in the highlands, conversations slow down over buna, the coffee that started it all.
The food here is some of the best I’ve had in Africa: spicy stews, sour injera, slow meals full of warmth and flavor. Meals are shared, hands reach across the table, and no one’s in a hurry.
Ethiopia isn’t always easy, and it’s never simple. But it’s layered, proud, and unforgettable. A country that doesn’t just show you where the world began, it shows you why that still matters.
